I’m Denise Lange, a creative director and exhibiting artist. I started freelancing during my senior year of college. I’ve run my own studio since 2004, and as Pleasant Street Creative since 2015. This passion has grown into a creative house serving clients from enormously different industries and backgrounds.

Over the years I’ve worn many hats: designer, creative director, painter, illustrator, consultant, mentor, collaborator, collector and lover of flowers… and I’m not done learning yet.

Being an artist shapes everything I make, and I bring a handcrafted touch to it all, from brands to illustrations. In fact, every logo still begins as a pencil sketch.

Along the way I’ve been a Local Brand Ambassador for Accenture, led a brand rollout at Tulane University, and grew a junior design role at Asolo Repertory Theatre into digital media manager, where online ticketing raised sales 35% in the first six months.

I’ve untangled too many businesses from designers who disappeared and took the keys with them. That’s why there are no hostages in my design world. You’ll always have access to what runs your business, and when something needs to change, I answer.
